The RQRV and Québec’s aging research centres brought together researchers at a Summit with the goal of transforming the challenges of aging into opportunities for innovation and inclusion.

Building on the work carried out during the Summit, this White Paper serves as a true roadmap for high-quality research on aging grounded in excellence and innovation, and enriched by diverse expertise as well as  by the voices of those directly concerned.

This unprecedented collaborative momentum is inspired by the vision and leadership of the Government Action Plan 2024–2029 – La fierté de vieillir. It has led to the identification of research priorities and the development of recommendations aimed at guiding public decision-making to improve, in concrete and sustainable ways, the quality of life of older adults.

This White Paper outlines clear courses of action to guide research efforts toward today’s major challenges, while aligning them with the most relevant and innovative scientific approaches.
