Cognitive Aging and Mental Health

Cognitive aging refers to the natural changes that affect mental abilities, such as memory and information processing speed, individuals age. Mental health in older adults encompasses their emotional and psychological well-being, including the ability to manage stress, emotions, and potential mental health disorders.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES

Strengthen collaboration among research teams in Quebec, across Canada, and internationally.

Catalyze the development and implementation of both fundamental and applied research aimed at understanding, promoting, and maintaining the cognitive and psychological well-being of older adults, while taking into account life-course trajectories, environmental contexts, and population diversity.
